In the pointing dog world, there is no doubt that the title of Dual Champion is the most difficult to achieve. The dog not only has to have the conformation and breed type that can earn the fifteen points (and two majors) for a Championship of Record, but it must also keep its hunting instincts and drive in order to earn the ten points (and a major in a senior stake) needed for a Field Championship. It must have the disposition, health and independence to win field trials at the highest level, and the beauty and adherence to its breed standard to win in the show ring. The training of any champion field trial dog is intensive, and it is no accident that Dual Champions are so rare. The designation "DC" is one of the most coveted accomplishments in the world of gun dogs, and I am honored to have had a part in each of these dogs story.
On this page, I am pleased to recognize the Dual Champions I have trained, and to recognize their dedicated breeders and owners. Each of them are all credits to their chosen breed.
